On behalf of the Women Executive Officers of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG), I extend warm wishes to all female academics on our various campuses and beyond.
Today, as we commemorate International Women’s Day, let us reflect on the incredible strength, resilience, and achievements of women worldwide. Let these remarkable stories inspire us as we chart our own paths towards progress and success.
We thank the previous and current UTAG Executives for their commitment to gender equality by ensuring women’s representation in UTAG leadership, as enshrined in the UTAG Constitution. UTAG encourage all female academics to actively govern the affairs and contribute to national governance.
Let us continue our collective efforts to advance gender equality, uplift one another, and dismantle barriers that hinder women’s progress. May this year’s theme, “Invest in women: Accelerate progress,” serve as a guiding principle for our actions and aspirations.
Happy International Women’s Day!
